About GondolendWhat is Gondolend?
___At its core Gondolend is about achieving three main goals: First, to write scientifically accurate dinosaur fiction that is also entertaining, second, to create a plausible fictional world where humans and dinosaurs are contemporaries, and third, to create plausible civilizations and cultures to inhabit this world.
___One of the first things that must be understood is that Gondolend is not Earth. It is a unique world with its own natural history and indigenous cultures and societies, and in its universe Earth does not and will never exist. Dinosaurs, and later humans, naturally evolved here; they were not brought together through cloning, or time warps, or any other of the usual methods used in other dinosaur fiction.
___The second thing to remember is that, by and large, the stories of Gondolend are character-driven; they're about the people, not the dinosaurs. While you or I would find a world populated by dinosaurs utterly fascinating, for the Gondolendians it's just the way things are. They find them no more breathtaking and awe-inspiring than you or I would find a deer or a squirrel.
